As of March 16, 2023, project was awarded to Sasser Companies, LLC, awarded amount is $63,520.93. The University's goal is to begin this project on March 1, 2023 with completion on or before April 14, 2023. Completion shall not be considered to have occurred until all work including punch lists have been completed. Upon completion of the project, the Vendor shall remove and properly dispose of all waste and debris from the site. The Vendor shall be responsible for leaving the area clean and ready to use, this includes replacing furniture back in location, complete clean up all dust, dirt and clean all fixtures for occupancy. SCOPE OF WORK CHANGE ORDER The university does not foresee changes to the scope of work once work has begun on the project. However, if the contractor or the university request a change, the following process shall be used. o Either party shall present a written detailed description of the change request, and a justification for the request(s). o The contractor shall provide the university with a written quote with a detail description of the changes to the project manager. The university shall provide a written approval to move forward or a rejection of the change order. NO SCOPE CHANGES SHOULD COMMENCE WITHOUT A WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE UNIVERSITY PROJECT MANAGER. o The university shall issue a change to the purchase order to the contractor based on the approved quote. Question submittals should include a reference to the applicable RFQ section and be submitted in the format shown below: Scope o Propress compression fittings are the preferred attached method. Pressurize the system 24 hours before cut the water back on. o Provide three (3) new cut off valves in the powder room. o Mechanical - Provide a new main duct insulated trunk line. Remove the existing trunk line and replace with new trunk line. Provide new flex duct in the crawl space. Ducts will be sized by schedule J calculations for size and r value. Place all grill covers back in the original location, all air filters will be replaced matching existing fillers. HVAC work must to be done by license contractor. o Install two (2) new thermostats model Smart Thermostat Premium by ecobee for upstairs and down stairs units. Source website. o Provide insulation in the crawl space, and 2' high of the outside wall, including the front porch ceiling area. Match existing R values. o Provide crawl space vapor barrier per North Carolina building code 100% coverage of the crawl and 6 mil thick plastic. o Install new base boards from the first floor, 7 inch speed base clear popular finger jointed match existing profile. o Install 1/2 " drywall in the den ceiling and 2' high on outside walls. Matching existing wall finish (Statch pattern). The kitchen area also has a textured wall finish. (Splotch pattern) o Paint walls and den ceiling, matching existing colors. Walls will be from corner to corner. In addition, paint trim to match existing colors. Painting will follow N.C. A&T standards that is full coverage. prime and two (2) finish coats. Note: The contractor is expected to match paint by taking a chip of paint to Sherwin Williams. o Provide 2 1/4 " oak hardwood flooring to match existing suit size and finish (Approximately 1580 square feet), Install oak quarter round stained to match flooring (approximately 300 LF). Oak quarter round will match the starter step at the stairs. The flooring must be finished onsite. The flooring subcontractor must provide samples of flooring finish to the university project manager for approval prior to staining the floor. Install 15 lb felt paper under the hardwood as an underlayment. o The contractor must provide HEPA filtered dust collection for all sanding and cutting inside on the house.
