- Project Start Date: 5/15/2023 - Substantial Date for Completion: 7/21/2023 - Final Date for Completion: 8/4/2023 Liquidated Damages: - $200 until Substantial Completion - $100 until Final Completion Bid bond, payment and performance bonds are required. This invitation is for construction work near Burnam Hall as specified in the following bid at Eastern Kentucky Universitys Richmond Campus. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the complete project including all items as indicated throughout the event and attached specifications. Work will begin immediately following an official Award of Contract and Purchase Order from Eastern Kentucky University. A point of contact for EKU Project Management will be provided to the awarded vendor at time of award. Eastern Kentucky University reserves the right to award in part or in whole and to award multiple suppliers/contracts if in the best interest of the university. Question Submission Close Date 2/20/2023 4:00 PM EST The project is best described in 3 sections. The first section is the relocation of a 4 inch sanitary line. The line currently runs under a the Burnam Hall. The project will relocate the line to be out from under the vestibule. Building roof drains will be raised to eliminate conflicts. The second section relocates an existing 8 inch gravity sewer away from tree roots. An existing manhole will be replaced. 8 inch sanitary will be extended from the replaced manhole and two new manholes installed, with one being an external drop manhole cut into an existing sanitary line. The third section separates storm water and sanitary sewer interconnections. An 8 inch storm line shall be intercepted prior to the interconnection to sanitary and a new line will be extended to connect to the closest available storm sewer. Two manholes will be placed. A new curb inlet will be installed. A portion of the new line will be 8 inch and the other will be 15 inch. The project will also include milling and paving of the Eastern portion of the parking lot that the new sanitary and storm lines will be disturbing as well as some curb replacement.
