**As of March 28, 2023, project was awarded Pavement Maintenance Systems LLC., and the awarded amount is $73,912.90.** The scope of work for this project shall consist of cape sealing and micro-surfacing Parchmount Avenue from Clarnin Street to approximately 200 feet east of Mead Street (City Limit). Work shall include preparatory work (crack sealing, fabric drops, sweeping, etc.), pavement sealing work, and cleanup (vacuum sweeping, general cleanup). Along Parchmount Avenue from Clarnin Street to Mt. Olivet Road the work shall consist of preparatory, sealing, and cleanup work to place a micro-surface seal. From Mt. Olivet Road to approximately 200 feet east of Mead Street the roadway work shall consist of a cape seal (single chip seal followed by a micro-surface seal). All work shall be completed in accordance with MDOT specifications and those found in this contract. All necessary traffic control, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other items incidental to the work being performed shall be included in the Contractor's unit price for this contract. Such items will not be bid or paid for separately but shall be included in the overall unit price. The bidder shall furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, tools, equipment, and other means necessary or proper for performing and completing the work. The bidder shall be responsible for the cleaning up of the job site and shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the work to the satisfaction of the Public Services Department for the City of Kalamazoo. Drainage structure covers shall be salvaged and reused if in usable condition; otherwise, they shall be replaced. Where needed, all traffic control used for such operations as defined by the MMUTCD will be the responsibility of the bidder. The City may maintain inspectors on the job who shall, at all times, have access to work. This work shall consist of micro-surfacing chip sealed pavements as specified in the Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction and the following provisions. Micro-surface application shall be complete within seven (7) working days after all roads contained in the project are chip sealed.
