For Painting and Pressure Washing at Select Schools The Newton County School System requires a vendor to provide painting and pressure washing services for the Facilities Department. Locations Mansfield Elementary School 45 East Third Avenue Mansfield, GA 30055 Newton High School 1 Ram Way Covington, GA 30016 Limits of painting are shown on the attached drawings. Areas shaded in yellow refer to painting and areas shaded in orange refer to pressure washing. Interior/Exterior Painting o Repainting school building (interior & exterior) as shown on attached drawings. (Note: Mansfield Elementary School will only have classroom, a single gang restroom and exterior surfaces.) o All interior and exterior metal door, door frames and door window frames will be painted on both sides. o Repaint all canopy columns and trusses o All painting shall be brushed and rolled with two coats. No paint spraying equipment will be allowed. o Caulking around all openings in building (windows and doors) where caulk is missing and/or needs to be replaced. o Painting all hollow metal door, window and mechanical louver frames (interior and exterior - both sides of frames) o Removal of loose window caulking at all windows (interior and exterior, as required) o Caulk all openings where expansion shields, picture hangers or penetrating items have been removed. o Paint all doors (interior & exterior) except prefinished hardwood doors. o Rope and caulk all control and expansion joints on interior of building o Caulk around perimeter of all door, window openings, (interior & exterior locations - both sides) as required to seal openings o Caulk all expansion joints as needed o Painting underside of soffit area overhangs if applicable o Paint both sides of all hollow metal doors and frames (interior and exterior) o Paint all hollow metal handrails and guardrails, if applicable o Paint all previously painted concrete block and gypsum board walls, EFIS, bulkheads and ceilings. o First coat of paint shall be two shades darker than final coat. Pressure Washing o Pressure wash all exterior surfaces on building (excluding roof) at Mansfield Elementary School only. o Pressure wash all canopies, frames and columns at Mansfield Elementary School only. o Pressure wash all sidewalks as indicated on drawings at both locations.
