Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is seeking quotations for fuels reduction services, for four separate units totaling approximately 300 acres. The objective of the Whiskeytown Hazardous Fuels Project is to reduce the hazardous fuels in close proximity to private property and infrastructure within Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. The goal of the project is to reduce the intensity of wildfires, provide defensible space and increase the safety of fire suppression activities. The project consists of manually thinning and hand piling of vegetation in various project areas. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary for hazard fuels reduction treatment in accordance with statement of work, for approximately 300 acres, broken-down into three separate treatment unit-areas within Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, located in Shasta County, CA. All work will be performed under one contract. See attachment J02 for detailed statement of work. Period of performance is estimated to be 90 days and begin in early April 2023. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotes are solicited only from total small business concerns. Quotes received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered. Evaluation for award will be made in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Part 13.106. The Government anticipates issuing a firm-fixed-price purchase order resulting from this request for quotation to the responsible quoter whose quotation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area will conduct a site visit for interested quoters. One National Park Service Representative will conduct the tour to orient prospective vendors to the project areas and the Statement of Work.
