This Request for Proposal has been prepared by Washington County to provide lawn care service and landscape design consultancy for the locations listed below. Washington County Building Services Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds at all county owned facilities. These include Zone 1 (Forest Lake Service Center, Forest Lake Transit Center). It is the intent of the Washington County to present attractive buildings and grounds by utilizing professional lawn care services that promotes curb appeal and neat, orderly landscapes that reflect a professional image. Washington County will accomplish this objective by employing a responsible, professional lawn care contractor that provides professional services in a cost-effective manner. The Contractor will work with Washington County Building Services Management to learn the specific needs for each building site and to make recommendations for improvements that will further enhance the county's lawn care objectives. The scope of work includes turf maintenance, flower and shrub bed maintenance, and shrub pruning and fertilization, rain garden maintenance, landscape design and installation, and general consulting services regarding lawn care management practices. Aside from lawn maintenance personnel, the successful contractor will have on staff, or access to, lawn care professionals including but not limited to arborists, landscape architects, and landscape industry certified professionals. Note that lawn irrigation maintenance will be addressed under a separate contract.
