Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Centreville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and laboratory facility.

As of May 26, 2023, project was awarded to Linde, awarded amount is $80,797.50 The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Welding Program located at Constantine High School is seeking proposals to improve overall laboratory air quality and also to provide a minimum of (4) new welding stations with self-contained ventilation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The CTE Welding Lab Improvements should include the following to be considered: (4) portable Clean Air Weld Stations EVO Dual with a 5 ' wide booth, plus 1 add on booth 5' wide with self-contained ventilation to allow for 2 training areas per weld station 208 3 Phase Voltage is Required of Motors The overall unit height for the main booth and collector is approximately 124" and the 5' add-on booth enclosure height is 84" tall. The booth depth is 4' as well as measured from the back panel. An intake plenum measuring 18" x 48" is mounted to the back panel, this holds the spark arrestors Each WeldStation EVO Dual consists of: A 5 foot main welding booth and an additional 5' wide booth. The booth depth is 4' from the back panel. An intake plenum extends 18" in front of the back panel, this houses the dual layer spark arrestors. The booths and collector are made of 12 gauge continuous welded steel. Powder coat paint both inside and outside exposed surfaces. The unit has a Blower Package with a 5 HP Motor and a Backward Incline Airfoil Wheel that will produce 4,000 CFM. An electrical package containing a Motor Starter, Transformer, VFD (Variable Frequency Drive), Disconnect Switches and Start & Stop Buttons are installed on the unit. An HMI Interface and remote access is standard on all models (requires ethernet connection). An "Economizer" will sense a welding arc and automatically ramp up motor rpm to increase airflow. When the arc is not present over a period of time the motor will decrease rotation to save energy consumption. A Filter Package consisting of 4 Nano-Fiber filters with a MERV 15 Rating. Each filter contains 180 square feet of media for a total of 720 square feet of media overall. The units have a reverse pulse cleaning operation to remove built-up particulate. By removing accumulated debris, the filters ultimately last longer and require fewer changes. The units have an accumulator tank reservoir that requires 70 to 90 psi of clean, oil-free compressed air to support this operation. Spark Arrestance filters are built into both booths. They consist of two layers, one being a metal spark baffle and the other a metal mesh filter. Both are washable and require maintenance to remove accumulated debris on a quarterly basis. Power washing is sufficient to clean these filters. Should oily residue persist then a degreasing agent can be used to assist in the cleaning. Acoustical silencer lining is included to reduce the overall sound volume during operation. Weld Flash Curtain and framework is included for each booth.. An LED light is included to illuminate the weld table. Consideration should be given to the following: Existing Lab Equipment with appropriate placement and installation specifications for the new Welding Stations Lifting Equipment Considerations for Installation Review of existing Ventilation Ductwork and Drops with Recommendations for overall air quality improvement Pricing and Payment Details (must include shipping costs to Constantine High School, 1 Falcon Drive, Constantine, MI 49042) Warranty (if applicable) and any Additional Project Options Any Customer Responsibilities (if applicable) Questions regarding submission during the bid period may be directed to Abby Wohlers, Accounting Coordinator, awohlers@sjcisd.org or at 269-467-5421 Questions concerning specifications may be addressed to Jim Berry, Director of CTE, jberry@sjcisd.org or at 269-467-5407 All questions are required to be submitted one week prior to the bid deadline An onsite Welding Lab visit will be required in advance of the bid deadline with the Director of CTE along with Constantine Public Schools The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Welding Program located at Constantine High School is seeking proposals to improve overall laboratory air quality and also to provide a minimum of (4) new welding stations with self-contained ventilation.
