The Chinook Regional Hospital - Alberta Surgical Initiative is intended to assist in addressing surgical capacity at the Chinook Regional Hospital through the renovation and optimization of existing facilities. Including: Converting two existing small Operating Rooms into one large one and an additional Operating room built to the current design standards. Renovations will include expansion of the existing Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD). This will include the relocation of Environmental Services to the vacated Clinical Engineering/Autopsy suite into the lower level at the CRH. Five new private patient rooms, 1 Bariatric/Special Needs and 1 Bariatric/Special Needs Isolation, 1 isolation and 2 general patient rooms will also be included in the scope of the project. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Consultants to provide Independant Comissioning Services has been issued by the Owner. Proposals must be submitted to the Attention of Project Procurement Specialist. Email Address: infras.procurement@gov.ab.ca. The project schedule calls for commencement of Contract by March 13, 2023 and completion of Services by January 29, 2027. A value-based selection process will be employed for this procurement. This means that the successful Proponent will be the one whose Proposal offers best value, taking into consideration qualifications, price and past performance. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
