Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Work is generally described as follows: Construction of approximately 1,130 linear feet of 12-inch and 15-inch storm sewer, 1,970 linear feet of 4-inch underdrain within gravel trench, and appurtenant inlets, fittings, site grading, and restoration. A bid alternative is to include construction of approximately 692 square yards of concrete sidewalk. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially completed by August 1, 2023; Final completion by August 15, 2023. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Union City Area School District, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Contractor must abide by all laws and regulations applicable to publicly funded contracts, including but not limited to equal employment opportunity. Pennsylvania prevailing wages will apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Clarification Deadline 3/1/2023 12:00 PM Contract 2023-1, Track Area Drainage, will be awarded to a prime contractor. A separate contract, Athletic Track Replacement, for which bidding documents were prepared by JW Architecture & Design, will be awarded separately. The scope ofthe separate Athletic Track Replacement contract includes demolition and replacement ofthe existing track subbase, asphalt, and surface treatment.
