The work of this Contract is for the services necessary for the Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project - Tremont Interceptor - Manhole T-10-55 to T-10-26. The work is a 21-inch diameter sanitary sewer interceptor. The project begins at the manhole located in the alley bounded by E 14th Street, E 13th Street, Pershing Avenue, and Iowa Street, and extends southeasterly within the City rights-of-way to Manhole in Cork Hill Park near the intersection of E 11th Street and Farnam Street. The total project length is approximately 1,900 feet. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - The Contractor shall have work substantially complete within 365 calendar days following issuance of Notice to Proceed. Substantial Completion shall include completion of all underground activities, and completion of roadway paving, including sidewalks. Final completion shall be achieved within 45 calendar days following the date of Substantial Completion Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages of $1,000 will be applied for each calendar day that substantial completion is not achieved within the specified time. Payments to the contractor for such improvement will be made monthly in warrants as specified in the "General Contract Conditions" by virtue of the statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa and as specified in the "General Conditions" The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. The project begins at Manhole T-10-55, located in the alley bounded by E 14th Street, E 13th Street, Pershing Avenue, and Iowa Street, and extends southeasterly within the City rights-of-way to Manhole T-10-26 in Cork Hill Park near the intersection of E 11th Street and Farnam Street.
