Site work and paving for a road / highway in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Prices in bid should be free of all sales taxes. Pursuant to Iowa Code sections 422.42 (15) & (16), the awarded contractor will be issued a tax exemption certificate to purchase construction materials (within the state of Iowa) that will be incorporated into real property for this project tax free. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - The Contractor shall begin construction on July 5, 2023 and complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment within 40 working days. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages of $1,000 will be applied per calendar day. Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, national origin or ancestry, sexual orientation, age, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disabilities or political beliefs and affiliations.
