Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lexington, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of March 22, 2023, project was awarded but awarded amount is not available. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of receipt. All requests for clarifications or interpretations outside of the Pre-Bid Conference shall be made in writing to the Architect (Dewberry Architects, Inc.) and will be answered by Addendum when appropriate. Lexington CUSD #7 will not release the Opinion of Probable Cost in advance of the scheduled time and date of the bid opening. Bid tabulations will be available after the award of a contract. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act" (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, bank draft, or a cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid, made payable to Lexington CUSD #7 as a guarantee that the successful bidder will promptly execute a satisfactory contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance bond, payment bond and insurance, and will proceed with the work. The successful bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount, as well as liability and property insurance as required by the Bid Documents, and including Lexington CUSD #7 as additionally insured, before commencing work. The successful bidder shall enter into a formal contract based on the conditions and requirements in the Bid Documents and the Bid Documents will be incorporated into the Contract.
