The scope of work includes construction of a new membrane type building housing GAC and IX Resin filter vessels for PFAS removal, a new prefabricated metal building housing an automatic backwashing conventional filter, site piping and modifications inside the existing water treatment plant. PFAS BUILDING: 3,780 G SF FILTER BUILDING 1,764 G SF Estimated construction cost: $ 14,500,000. Bidding for this Project shall be restricted for General Contractors and all sub-trades, excluding plumbing, based on pre-qualification conducted by the Abington & Rockland Joint Water Works in accordance with MGL c.149, 44D 1/2 and 44D 3/4 . Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.2 percent D/MBE participation and 4.5 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs. The two low bidders shall submit completed DBE forms (EEO-DEP-190C, EEO-DEP-191C and the DBE Certification of United States Citizenship form) by the close of business on the third business day after bid opening.
