This project is outlined in further detail in section four (4) of this document. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to acquire offers from various vendors, conduct a fair evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidate who best provides the County with the desired product and service. Merrimack County is a government facility that operates under the discretion of elected officials that manage county finances. All bids will be subject to approval by the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners Through this RFP, Merrimack County intends to select a Respondent to enter into a contract to furnish and install a new baffle and floating cover in Lagoon 2 owned by the County of Merrimack and further described in this RFP. The County of Merrimack aims to move as quickly as practicable and identify the most qualified Respondent that: 1. Meets the needs of the County of Merrimack. 2. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Lagoon baffle and floating cover work. 3. Understands specifications for Lagoon baffle and cover work, required permitting, and zoning regulations for the AHJ, Town of Boscawen, and State of NH DES. 4. Capable of recommending additions to the project scope to satisfy the needs of the county. County of Merrimack is soliciting bids for furnishing and installing a new baffle and floating cover in Lagoon 2 at Merrimack County Nursing Home. The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain the services of a qualified contractor. Bidders shall provide pricing to perform the scope of work as described in the attached Engineer's Request for Proposal #1. General Information: A. the Contractor must provide a method whereby Contractor can be readily contacted during normal business hours. The Contractor(s) shall have a twenty (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week (24/7) point of contact (i.e., voice mail or answering machine) where messages may be left. There should be a response within twenty-four hours to messages that are left by the County during business hours. Repeated failure to respond may, at the option of the county, result in termination of the Contract. B. the County has the option of declaring any needed work to be an emergency. C. the Contractor will participate in a Kickoff Meeting hosted by the County upon award of the Contract. General Description of Skills: A. the Contractor shall have sufficient resources to be able to work multiple jobs at the same time. B. All work shall be scheduled with the County's Project Manager at least seventy-two hours before the work begins. Once scheduled, the Contractor will adhere to the schedule unless authorization to re-schedule is given by the County's Project Manager.
