Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Saraland, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a 6,975-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The City of Saraland is requesting bids for a new addition to Saraland Fire Station #1. The contractor is to build on the existing location a new code compliant, slab on grade, cinder block (CMU) addition to match the existing structure. The contractor will prepare the site for the new foundation, coordinate with utilities making existing utilities safe and ready for future connections. The contractor will match the existing building construction as detailed in the building construction plans. All electrical, plumbing, and HVAC to be included in the bid. Interior and exterior paint to match existing type and color scheme as determined by the city. A cashiers check or bid bond payable to the City of Saraland in an amount not less than (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidders proposal. State General Contractor information, Performance and Payment Bonds and Evidence of Insurance will be required at the signing of the contract. Companies must possess all local and state licenses. Site visits are recommended and additional information and consultations may be requested with the office of the Saraland Fire Department.
