Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of Jordan School District ; that because of the specialized nature of the construction on the above named project, the need for a timely completion thereof and other related factors, that bid documents, including plans and specifications, will be given to and bids received from only those general contractors who have been pre-qualified by the school district to bid on this project. Jordan School District (JSD) is inviting prequalified contractors (Contractors) to submit bids for the replacement of the parking lots at West Jordan High School located in West Jordan, Utah. This solicitation is Part II of the pre-qualification of Contractors that was initiated as part of solicitation 23KP06Q . Part I has been completed and only those Contractors are invited to submit bids for construction and associated site improvements of the project to which they are authorized to bid. Final Contractor selection will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid as submitted in Part II. JSD reserves the right to waive or modify any of the foregoing requirements when it appears to be in their best interest to do so. Nothing contained herein shall relieve any Contractor from the obligation to comply with all other documents or requirements connected with the bidding process and awarding of the contract to the satisfaction of JSD. Q & A deadline: Mar 02, 2023 6:00:00 PM EST The certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond attached, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the above bid sum, shall become the property of the OWNER in the event that the contract is not negotiated and/or the Performance and Payment Bonds delivered within ten (10) calendar days, as liquidated damages for the delay and additional expense caused thereby. The purchase order will not be transmitted to the Contractor and work cannot begin until the original payment and performance bonds have been received by the JSD Purchasing Department. Bonding costs must be included in the bid price. I/We guarantee to substantially complete the Project no later than August 11, 2023, and only after the receipt of a notice to proceed should I/We be the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for this portion of the work are $1,000.00 per calendar day.
