Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Smithfield Township, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Smithfield Township is seeking Qualifications from Professional Engineers to develop plans and specifications for repairs to Green Mountain Drive Bridge over Marshalls Creek in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, PA. This project will utilize PennDOT Multimodal Transportation Funds. The structure is a single lane twin arch bridge of stone masonry construction having an approximate length of fifty (50 ) feet. The bridge construction is circa 1910. Repairs will need to address loose and/or missing stones and deteriorating mortar joints throughout the structure including the two arches, wingwalls and parapets. The Professional Engineer will also need to prepare the MTF Environmental Document for environmental clearance including coordination of cultural resources clearance with the SHPO, assist in preparation of documents for ROW clearance, and coordinate in PennDOT s URMS system for utility clearance. The Professional Engineer will also have to prepare TS&L and structural adequacy submissions for review and approval by PennDOT s Bridge Unit. Responders should provide a summary of their (or firm s) qualifications illustrating their expertise and experience in performing this type of work. Qualification packages should NOT include a rate schedule. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
