The alterations will include architectural, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. The alterations requested by DTMB (on behalf of the Department of Corrections) will convert the existing Housing Unit B1 into a building that is barrier-free accessible per the federal ADA standards and the Michigan state construction code.
