Renovation of a municipal facility in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of May 22, 2024, per owner project has been awarded. An A/E and general contractor have been identified. Pre-Qualification: Yes Description: The campus observed two wood structural trusses that had split in an area behind the Theater in the Fine Arts (FA) building. We suspect that the structural damage was caused by winter weather and high snow loads on the roof over this area. An adjacent sloped roof area spills snow onto the roof over this area and this condition likely contributed to the structural failure. Now that the structure is secured, the campus desires to move forward with a professional A/E team who will fully evaluate the damage to the building and existing structure and design the repair project. The damage could include damage to the 4-ply built up roofing, wood structure, roof deck, and mechanical/electrical systems suspended from the structure. Key features of the project include: o 4-ply built up roof evaluation over this roof area o Structural assessment of the entire Fine Arts building o Evaluate existing mechanical and electrical systems for potential damage caused by the failure of the structure, and o Assess the roof drainage off of the adjacent roof and consider an alternate path for snow and water draining off of the roof area
