The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation with one or more qualified Contractors for the purchase of hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and environmental compliance consulting services statewide, as needed, including but not limited to site investigation and site remediation for Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) projects and maintenance facility issues throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The contract will be an "as needed" style contract, with individual tasks developed and implemented over the term of the contract as tasks are developed. VDOT cannot guarantee the number of individual tasks which might be needed nor the dollar amount of any individual task nor their aggregate amount. Included in the scope of work are environmental services that may require dedication of one or more of the Contractor's employees to VDOT projects or work for an indeterminate amount of time (staff augmentation.) In any such case, such individuals shall remain employees of the Contractor and the Contractor shall bear all legal responsibility for the individuals as the Contractor's employees. The purpose of this teleconference is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. While attendance at this teleconference will not be a prerequisite to submitting a proposal, offerors who intend to submit a proposal are encouraged to attend. Have a copy of the solicitation with you. Any changes resulting from this teleconference will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation. VDOT cannot guarantee a response to questions received after March 1, 2023. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. No questions will be addressed orally.
