Fire Station Renovation In accordance with Drawings and Specifications prepared by: Horne & King Architects 5027 Lakeview Drive Powell, Ohio 43065 614.361.5300 All formal bids shall be submitted using a set of purchased Bidding Documents. Partial set of Bidding Documents are not acceptable. Genoa Township will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda obtained from other sources. Properly submitted Bids, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, will be opened, read, and the tabulation made public. The location of the bid opening will be at the address listed above. Modifications to a previously submitted bid may be made only in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders. Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications, to perform the Work as described in the Instructions To Bidders. Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders. Prevailing wage rates as ascertained by the State of Ohio Department of Industrial Relations will be applicable to this project as provided by the Ohio Revised Code, including, but not limited to, minimum wage provisions. All Bids must include payment of wages at prevailing wage rates pursuant to Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Section 4115-15 and shall comply with the provisions, duties and obligations of ORC Section 4115. Further information provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a bond for an amount of 100% of the Bid if in the form of a Bid Guaranty or in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid if in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, for and subject to the conditions provided in the instructions to Bidders and pursuant with ORC Section 153.54, 153.57 and 153.571. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Upon failure to execute a Contract with the Owner or to furnish any required bonds pursuant to the Instructions to Bidders, the successful Bidder is liable for liquidated damages in accordance with Section 152.54 ORC. Certified checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three (3) lowest bidders as soon as practicable after the opening of bids, and the remaining certified check or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the City and the accepted bidder have executed the contract, or it no award has been made within sixty (60) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter, so long as he/she has not been notified of the acceptance of his/her bid. Contract will be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best Bidder at the discretion of the Owner and pursuant to the Instructions To Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part; to waive any informalities in the bidding; to increase, decrease, or to omit any item or items; and to enter into a contract with a Bidder who in the Owner's judgment is the lowest and best bidder. Project will be completed within one hundred thirteen (113) consecutive days of Contract Authorization to Proceed. 113 days is based on 3 months twenty-one days from April 10, 2023 through Final Completion July 31, 2023. The term "day" as used in the Contract Documents shall mean calendar day. DEMOLITION OF NORTHERN PORTION OF BUILDING THAT WAS THE FORMER POLICE STATION. MINIMAL RENOVATION OF REMAINING NORTH PORTION OF BUILDING TO MAINTAIN CURRENT MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SYTEMS TO THE BUILDING. NO NEW WORK. NO ADDITIONAL SQUARE FOOTAGE. NO ADDITIONAL OCCUPANCY. NO CHANGE IN USE. In order to prevent an extension of the bid opening, the Bidder is encouraged to submit all requests no later than the end of business (5:00 p.m.) Thursday, March 23, 2023. The Owner is a statutory township, and this Project is subject to those sections of the Ohio Revised Code that permit single prime contracting. Base bid cost estimate for the Project is $305,000
