Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The Project consists of the following: salvage of listed items and disassembly of the existing stee! structure, demolition of site improvements and regrading the Broadway Site; site improvements at the Veterans Memorial Park Site, and the erection of the steel building at Veterans Memorial Park with modifications and build out of the in terioras shown in the contract documents. Bid Security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Contractor and Sub-Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as found by the Dept. of Labor or as determined by the Court of Appeal, to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Also, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
