Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Oswego, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within 84 days after the Notice to Proceed. Scope of Work: There is significant wall board damage around the perimeter of the windows at Poucher Hall. It has been determined that this is not a masonry issue, but instead, a thermal issue. The report and thermal imaging is showing us that the windows are very drafty and that the furring around the exterior wall has minimal to zero insulation value. To address this problem we need to fully insulate the furring cavity at exterior walls in the area. Dense pack cellulose has been recommended for use for this project. This can be done from the interior and will minimize the destruction of the wall boards. Contractors should submit all questions no later than five (5) business days after the virtual walkthru. All questions are to be submitted in writing and can be e-mailed to Richard Merritt at richard.merritt@oswego.edu. The documents may be examined electronically free of charge at the following Plan Room locations: In compliance with Section 139 of the State Finance Law, all questions pertaining to this solicitation during the restricted period shall be made formally through email to the designated staff. Designated staff for the solicitation is: Richard Merritt, SUNY Oswego, (315) 312-2208 - Richard.merritt@oswego.edu Contact with other than the above-designated SUNY Oswego employee concerning this procurement may result in the rejection of your bid. Bids must be submitted electronically in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. The original bid package is to be mailed to the campus after the electronic version is submitted. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and womenowned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The Campus MWBE Goals are 21% Minority and 9% Women. The Campus SDVOB goals are 6%. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 21% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 9%
