As of January 19, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. A. This asbestos abatement project will consist of the removal and disposal of asbestos containing material (ACM), as indicated in the drawings, as part of the alterations of this project. B. The work shall include, but not be limited to, the removal of the following materials: 1. Roof flashing, sealant, perimeter Karnac, hot mop on concrete. C. The Contractor shall be aware of all conditions of the Project and is responsible for verifying quantities and locations of all Work to be performed. Failure to do so shall not relieve the Contractor of its obligation to furnish all labor and materials necessary to perform the Work. D. All Work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Project Documents and all governing codes, rules, and regulations. Where conflicts occur between the Project Documents and applicable codes, rules, and regulations, the more stringent shall apply. E. Working hours shall be as required and approved by the Owner. Asbestos abatement activities including, but not limited to, work area preparation, gross removal activities, cleaning activities, waste removal, etc. may need to be performed during 'off-hours' (including nights and weekends). In addition, multiple mobilizations may be required to perform the work identified in this project. The Contractor shall coordinate and schedule all Work with the facility and Owner's representative The State University of New York at Cortland will receive sealed bids for project number 20220028 titled Heating Plant Roof Replacement, until 11:00AM local time on November 30, 2023 at the Facilities Planning, Design and Construction Office, Whitaker Hall, room 201, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of a roof replacement for a 9,000 sq foot roof and brick masonry repairs.
