The project involves the supply and delivery of a replacement concrete culvert. The contractor will be responsible for the following: o Furnish a concrete culvert and two (2) wing walls to the specifications outlined in the attached plan prepared by CKS Engineers, Inc., dated 3/7/2022, last revised 1/26/2023. o Delivery of the culvert to the construction site at 1705 Old York Road, Hartsville, PA 18974 The Township shall prepare and install the new culvert and wing walls. Proposals must be made upon the forms furnished by the Township, as available on PennBid. All materials and workmanship shall comply with PennDOT Specifications, Publication 408, and the structure must be provided by a PennDOT-approved supplier. Bidders are also notified that this project is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act. The proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond made payable to Warwick Township, in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid. The bid deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained by Warwick Township as liquidated damages if the bidder shall neglect or refuse to enter into a contract with the Township in accordance with the Proposal and Contract Instructions. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond with suitable reasonable requirements guaranteeing the performance of the contract, with sufficient surety in the amount of fifty (50) percent of the awarded contract amount within twenty (20) days after the contract has been awarded. The Award of the Contract, if a contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, as described in the Instructions to Bidders' Section of the Contract Documents, but the Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Warwick Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
