A. The work under this contract includes the construction of a new Georgia State patrol Post in Reidsville Georgia of off Cedar Avenue near the county court house. B. The project consist of a 9,951 total square foot building including a carport area for 12 cars. The structure is wood frame, brick veneer, wood trusses, shingle roof and slab on grade construction. The project also includes the extension of Cedar Avenue. C. The Project will be constructed under a Stipulated Sum contract. Deadline for written questions sent via email to the Issuing Officer referenced in Section 1.5. 03/20/2023 5:00 p.m. ET Responses to Written Questions 03/22/2023 5:00 p.m. ET The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) is posting a bid for construction of a new post in Reidsville, Georgia - Post 18. See attached detailed specifications and drawings. The contractor shall provide all equipment, tools, labor, supervision, permits, & other necessary things to complete the construction. The project is under the jurisdiction of the Georgia State Fire Marshal. DPS already has the construction permit from the State and the City does not issue permits on State projects/state property. Work shall begin as soon as schedule allows after award notice. Contractor must complete and have notarized the GA Security and Immigration Affidavit. Contractors must provide proof of liability insurance with DPS as the certificate holder. Make sure you are registered with the Department of Revenue and are current with any tax payments as this is part of being a responsible supplier to be awarded a bid. Suppliers must also be registered with the GA Secretary of State Office. Other documents are attached that also must be completed and uploaded to bid. Read the instructions carefully. A bid bond is required with the submittal of the bid equally 5% of bid. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount equal to the bid are required. They must be received within 10 days of Notice of Award. Contractors should upload as a separate document any discounts for early payment.
