This project consists of providing all required materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the upgrade and improvements required for the existing wastewater treatment facility known as the Town of Estill Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Land Application System (LAS). This project consists of providing all required materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the upgrade and improvements required for the existing wastewater treatment facility known as the Town of Estill Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Land Application System (LAS). The project includes two (2) separate sites with different scopes of work to be completed. The first scope of work is at the WWTP while keeping the existing WWTP in operation at all times. The second scope of work is improvements to the existing LAS site. The improvements to the WWTP include the following: Aeration Basins Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be removed from operations, dewatered, sludge blanket removed, sludge dewatered, sludge disposal, replacement of floating surface aerators and control panels, basin slope repairs (if required), in addition to removal and replacement of existing HDPE liner system to 4-FT below the water level; miscellaneous flow monitoring improvements to equipment at the chlorine contact chambers, influent and effluent forcemains; temporary bypass pumping and piping; site piping; site grading; erosion and sediment control; 845 LF of removal and replacement of new security fencing, other necessary site improvements; and necessary electrical upgrades and improvements at the WWTP Site. The improvements to the LAS include the following: limited site clearing and grassing activities, erosion and sediment control; and other necessary site improvements at the LAS.
