Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Lacon, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Lacon is Accepting Bids for the Replacement of Aidewalks. The City of Lacon will be responsible for supplying base materials, backfilling and seeding. City of Lacon will have base materials located at the Lacon sewer plant available for contractor use on city jobs. Contractor will be responsible for removing the existing sidewalks, establishing grade, forming and pouring, and wrecking the formwork. The material shall be minimum 4000# concrete using 6-bag mix and crushed stone coarse aggregate. Concrete should be 4" thick with the following 2 exceptions, 5" across private drives and 6" across alleys. On longer runs, premolded joint filler shall be placed transversely at intervals not to exceed 100ft The City of Lacon may add or reduce the amount of work depending on budget constraints. The City of Lacon reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Prevailing wage laws will apply to this project. Bidder is to provide all equipment necessary to complete the job. Bids should include price per square foot and provide proof of insurance.
