The Foothills Regional Services Commission is issuing this tender for the construction of an Evapotranspiration Cover (ET Cover) at the Foothills Regional Landfill & Resource Recovery Centre (Landfill) located near Okotoks, Alberta. The construction of the ET Cover will generally consist of the installation of a gas distribution layer, evapotranspiration layer, hydroseeding, lock-blocks, and non-woven geotextile. The work is located approximately 6 km south of the Town of Okotoks, Alberta in the landfill's south-east area at the legal location SE 1\4 Section 32, Township 19, Range 29, West of the Fourth Meridian. The work generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization including transporting equipment to and from site, constructing and reclaiming any haul roads required during construction, obtaining permits, erecting temporary facilities, and providing a safety program; Scarifying the immediate cover material within the construction footprint; Hauling, placement, and disking of gas distribution layer material; Hauling, placement, mixing, and disking of evapotranspiration layer materials; Supply and installation of lock-blocks; Supply and installation of non-woven geotextile; and Supply and installation of hydroseeding.
