Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lakemore, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Sealed Bids for the construction of the 2023 Resurfacing Project will be received by the Village of Lakemore, Ohio, at the Village s Upper Waterworks Office, 2827 Sanitarium Rd, Akron, Ohio 44312. A general description of the work is as follows: The project consists of 1 mill & fill roadway resurfacing, totaling 1,387 feet of center line. Replace two catch basins and approximately 40 feet of storm sewer pipe. The Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the Project: $143,194.50 Unit price bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Payment shall be made to AA Blueprint. The date that the Bidding Documents are picked up will be considered the Bidder s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Questions must be addressed in writing to Roger E. Grimm, Jr., P.E. (rgrimm@hammontree-engineers.com) or Josh Renicker, P.E. (jrenicker@hammontree-engineers.com), Hammontree & Associates, Limited, by e-mail. Questions will not be accepted after 12:00 p.m. on March 14, 2023. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall comply with the following items: A. State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates shall be used. B. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code apply to this project. Copies of Section 153.011 of the Revised Code can be obtained from any of the offices of the Department of Administrative Services. C. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Site Visit and Testing by Bidders A. Bidder shall visit the site on their own. B. Bidder is not required to conduct any subsurface testing, or exhaustive investigations of Site conditions. If performed, bidder shall fill all holes and clean up and restore the Site to its former condition upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests, and studies. C. Bidder shall comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations regarding excavation and location of utilities, obtain all permits, and comply with all terms and conditions established by Owner or by property owners or other entities controlling the Site with respect to schedule, access, existing operations, security, liability insurance, and applicable safety programs. 4.04 Owner's Safety Program A. Site visits and work at the Site may be governed by an Owner safety program. As the General Conditions indicate, if an Owner safety program exists, it will be noted in the Supplementary Conditions. 4.05 Other Work at the Site A. Reference is made to Article 8 of the Supplementary Conditions for the identification of the general nature of other work of which Owner is aware (if any) that is to be performed at the Site by Owner or others (such as utilities and other prime contractors) and relates to the Work contemplated by these Bidding Documents. If Owner is party to a written contract for such other work, then on request, Owner will provide to each Bidder access to examine such contracts (other than portions thereof related to price and other confidential matters), if any. he bidder(s) whose proposal is accepted shall enter into a written contract for the performance of the work and furnish the required bonds within fifteen (15) calendar days after written notice by the Owner has been served on such bidder that the contract has been awarded. B. Each bidder must deposit with the bid, a bid guaranty in the form prescribed in Section 153.54 and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code, to wit: a. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. Any such letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of the Owner. Bid bond presented for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond ("rollover bond") which shall suffice as the performance and payment bond for the successful bidder. The successful bidder who provides a bid guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit (optional) is required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds. Payment and performance bonds shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. C. The Contractor shall secure and maintain such insurance policies as required and discussed in Section 6 of the General Conditions. The project consists of 1" mill & fill roadway resurfacing, totaling 1,387 feet of center line. Replace two catch basins and approximately 40 feet of storm sewer pipe. The Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the Project: $143,194.50 The Village of Lakemore, Ohio, reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
