Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The existing station was constructed in 2004 to serve areas of Valley Pike (US 11), north of the City. The station was originally designed to match the capacity limits of the City of Harrisonburg's Smithland Road Pump Station. Since that time, upgrades have been made to the Smithland Station and future capacity is being evaluated due to potential growth in the North Valley Pike area. This station serves not only part of Valley Pike, but also Rockingham County's Innovation Village. Growth in the Village may also require upgrade to the capacity of the station. The project is included in the County's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of August 21, 2024, funded for FY2025-2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
