This drainage improvement project was developed following the Suter Street community enrolled in the City's Drainage Improvement Program. The neighborhood spans from Charles Street to Washington Street, and from Jefferson Street to North Main Street. Public Works conducted a drainage study which should that improving the stormwater conveyance infrastructure within the neighborhood was the most practical solution in order to lessen the severity of heavy rain events. Project is included City of Harrisonburg Fiscal Year 2025-2029. As of May 12, per owner, this project has not received funding and is not underway at this time. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
