PROJECT ON HOLD TILL FURTHER NOTICE Improve and expand the existing City parking lot at the corner of Mason Street and Elizabeth Street. The existing parking lot is adjacent to an abandoned HEC substation, which was located on City property. Public Works has removed the concrete pad for the substation and prepared plans that allow for expansion of the existing City parking lot onto this parcel. The expansion would provide 19 parking spaces and 2 handicap spaces. In addition to the expansion in parking, the City would make a connection to the adjoining property to the south. The project is included in the county 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 30, 2025, per owner, the Mason / Elizabeth parking lot project is being designed in-house. The project was put on hold at 60% design development.
