The San Bernardino Municipal Water Department (SBMWD) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide design services for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure System project. SBMWD has 700 miles of pipeline varying in size from 2 inches to 78 inches in diameter and approximately 45,000 metered water services. SBMWD seeks to deploy an AMI network, which includes a meter data management database for the initial project consisting of 7,504 standard meters and 5,042 AMI compatible meters. This project consists of design and related services of the Advanced Meter Infrastructure System along with other associated services as specified in the RFP documents.
