For East Haddam Public Schools Field and Lawn Care Services There are two projects for bidding within the total scope, A) Fertilizer & Lawn Care and B) Mowing & General Maintenance. Bidders are encouraged to bid on one or both parts of the project. East Haddam Public Schools reserves the right to choose different bidders for each section. a) The Fertilizer and Lawn Care project consists of performing fertilization, weed and pest control, and non-mowing ground maintenance for the Nathan Hale-Ray High School and Nathan Hale-Ray Middle School athletic fields and surrounding grounds. b) The Mowing and General Maintenance project consists of mowing of school grounds, including Nathan Hale-Ray High School and Nathan Hale-Ray Middle School athletic fields, and Elementary School common areas and grounds. The East Haddam Board of Education, as awarding authority, reserves the right to reject any or all bids in full and/or in part and to waive any informalities in bidding. In determining the lowest or highest bid the East Haddam Board of Education reserves the right to consider, in addition to price, the compatibility, quality, experience of the bidder, sufficiency of resources of the bidder as it relates to the offering as well as the ability of the bidder to provide future service. The decision of the East Haddam Board of Education shall be final. The East Haddam Board of Education reserves the right to reject any proposals if they show any omission, alteration of form, additions not called for, conditional bids, or irregularities of any kind. All prices bid must remain firm for a period of Twenty Fours (24) Months commencing April 1, 2023. The initial term of the contract to be awarded under this bid will be for twenty-four months with an option to extend for additional twelve-month terms. The option must be exercised by the mutual, written consent of the parties 60 days prior to the end of the initial term, and each subsequent term of performance and is not considered automatic.
