OPWDD Contract Management Unit for Taconic DDSOO is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to perform community snow removal & ice control services in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Putnam, and Ulster Counties. The Scope of Work requires snow removal and ice control services at OPWDD residences which are occupied by a developmentally disabled population including individuals who have medical and physical disabilities, and some who are confined to wheelchairs. OPWDD residents often require an additional level of care regarding snow and ice removal due to functional mobility limitations. Snow removal & ice control services detailed in the Scope of Work will be paid by one seasonal price, spread out over six equal installments. Professional references, experience, financial resources, and applicable insurances are required. OPWDD reserves the right to request detailed listings of equipment, staffing, service routes, etc. There are fifteen Clusters up for bid. OPWDD intends to award multiple contracts. Contract(s) will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder(s) that provide the lowest Total Combined Cost Per Season for each Cluster. The Total Combined Cost Per Season is to include the cost of furnishing all said services, travel time, mileage, materials, equipment, supplies, labor, fees, and all other ancillary costs to the satisfaction of the agency and the performance of all work set forth in the Qualifications & Scope of Work.
