For Railroad Bridges Visual Inspection The City of Binghamton seeks statements of qualifications from professional firms to perform visual inspection of the railroad overhead and undergrade bridges in the City of Binghamton. These inspections would focus on identifying and recording indications of distress on the bridges that may indicate a serious concern in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration Title 49 CFR Part 237. In addition, aesthetic and maintenance conditions of the bridges should be documented. The selected firm's report will be made available to railroads, federal regulators, and federal lawmakers. The City reserves the right to ask for additional information and to consult references as may be necessary to judge the qualifications and ability of the firm The City reserves the right for any reason at its sole discretion to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFQ. The City reserves the right to make modifications and issue addenda to the terms and conditions of this RFQ. Five (5) copies of each proposal package are to be included in the submission and the package is to be clearly marked: "City of Binghamton Railroad Bridges Visual Inspection." Purchasing Department City Hall, 2nd Floor 38 Hawley Street Binghamton, New York 13901 Attn: Bernice Griffiths, Purchasing Agent Proposals are to be submitted.
