The City of Bell Gardens ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified full-service Construction Management firms to oversee the project's development. This service includes coordination with the City and design team, assist the City with the contractor prequalification process, manage the bid and demolition of existing aquatic facilities and construction of the new Ford Park Aquatics Center. Consultants submitting a proposal to the Request for Proposals ("RFP") are required to state their understanding of the project and experience with project and construction management services for similar types of aquatic facilities. Consultants are urged to submit concise proposals, appropriate to the scale of the project and include only items that are relevant to this specific project. The City of Bell Gardens reserves the right to reject any or all responses received as a result of this solicitation; to extend the submission due date for; to modify, amend, reissue or rewrite this document; and to procure any or all services by other means. The City will not be liable for any costs incurred by the consultants' incidentals to the preparation of proposals or for developing and carrying out interview presentations, if needed. Submission of a proposal indicates acceptance by the consultant of the conditions contained in this RFP unless clearly and specifically noted in the proposal submitted and confirmed in the contract between the City of Bell Gardens and the consultant selected. The City is subject to prevailing wage laws which apply to those professional services consultants and their subconsultants for whom the Department of Industrial Relations has established a wage determination, including but not limited to Field Soils Materials Testers; Operating Engineers; Surveyors; and Building/Construction and Specialty Inspectors. The Department of Industrial Relations General Prevailing Wage Determination 2022-2 for the County of Los Angeles, Southern California, and Statewide will apply to the Building Construction Inspector/Materials/Soil Tester The Aquatics Center was opened in 1959 and is the only aquatic facility for the Citys aquatic recreation program. The Aquatics Center has undergone relatively few renovations since it was built over 60 years ago, and the configuration of the aquatics building, pool, and supporting elements are not flexible and efficient enough to meet the needs of a modern municipal aquatics program. In 2017, the City determined that the Aquatics Center at John Anson Ford Park was no longer CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT and CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION(CMI)SERVICES The construction period is estimated to start in August 2023 and to be completed by December 2024 March 13, 2023 - Questions due to the City by 4:00PM Questions regarding the information contained in the RFP document must be submitted by email, and addressed to: Grissel Chavez, Director of Public Works gchavez@bellgardens.org The City of Bell Gardens reserves the right to reject any or all responses received as a result of this solicitation; to extend the submission due date for; to modify, amend, reissue or rewrite this document; and to procure any or all services by other means. The Project construction costs are estimated to be $18 - $20 million including Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
