Project No: U-1142 Replacement of approximately 5,200 lineal feet of 12" and 16" water mains of unknown material and age with 12" C-900 PVC and DI and 16" DI water mains, 140 feet of which will be jack and bore under a railroad and 3,600 feet of which will be installed by horizontal direction drilling. The project also includes, but is not limited to, the installation of all associated fittings, valves, connections to existing water mains, abandoning existing water mains, service connection extensions and surface restoration. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, traffic control, granular backfill, pavement restoration (milling included), flushing, disinfecting, testing and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the Drawings and Specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder (or bidders), all to the advantage of the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, or to reject all Proposals.
