Remodeling and renovation of a water / sewer project in Des Moines, Iowa. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for the remodel of a water / sewer project.
The Objective of the Project is to Complete Schematic Design for the Project. Scope of Work for Entire Project is Essentially Demolishing the Existing Ramp, Properly Filling Openings, and Then Establishing a Roof in Place of the Former Ramp That Would Protect the Storage Space Underneath. The Structure Supporting the Upper Garage Area is Also Deteriorating and is Not Being Used Currently. This Project Entails Evaluating What Repairs Need to Be Made, Work With Staff to Determine What the Upper-level Space Will Be Used for, Develop a Building Layout and Remodeling Plan, and Provide Cost Estimates for the Construction of the Project. It is Anticipated That the Upper Parking Garage Area Will Likely Be Turned Into an Office Space With Several Separate Rooms. A Current Second Floor Layout in the Distribution Building is Included in Appendix 2. As of June 5, 2024, the design firm has been selected. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors is scheduled for Fall 2024. The construction timeline has not been identified.
