The City of Columbus, Division of Sewerage and Drainage, is proceeding with a sewer rehabilitation project regarding the first phase of construction in the Near North area of Columbus called the Near North & East: Phase 2: Iuka Park Sewer Rehabilitation project. The scope of the project includes the repair and rehabilitation of approximately 7,075 LF of brick sewer and clay tile sewer ranging in diameter from 36-inch to 54-inch utilizing the trenchless technology of Cured-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lining. Sewer pipe preparation for the lining work, including cleaning, repair of voids, grouting, trimming of service laterals, and other prep work as specified within the supplemental specifications of the Contract is also included. Prior to lining the sewer, lateral status evaluation shall be performed and a report submitted as outlined in this supplemental specification and further described in Specification SS-11. The rehabilitation of manholes is also included as specified within the drawings and the supplemental specifications of the Contract. B. The various sewers to be lined were videotaped by Hydromax USA in the winter of 2016, spring of 2017, and spring of 2019. The videotape and logs are available to the Contractor as part of the bid documents. The City of Columbus (hereinafter "City") is accepting bids for Near North & East Large Diameter Rehabilitation Phase 2: Iuka Park, C.I.P. No. 650725-100017 the work for which consists of rehabbing over 7,000 feet of large combined sewers near north at Iuka Park area,, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). Bond Percentage 10.00% Questions pertaining to the drawings and specifications must be submitted in writing only to the City of Columbus, ATTN: Jehan Alkhayri, P.E., via email at JMAlkhayri@columbus.gov prior to March 29th, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. local time. No phone calls will be accepted The City may cancel the IFB, reject any or all bids in whole or in part, waive technicalities, and/or advertise for new bids, without liability to the City and when in the best interest of the City up until the time the contract is executed by the City. The City shall have 180 calendar days from the date of the bid opening to provide the bidder a Notice of Intent to Award. During this 180 day period, the bidder agrees to hold their bid prices.
