The project involves Sitework, Mobilization, Structural Steel and Attachment Fabrication, Sheet Pile Instillation, Dock Work and Access Slabs, Existing Sunken Barge Dock Repair and Fill and Placement. 5% EDGE Goal DBE Requirement AE PROJECT NO. 20134 Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a 10% Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Contractors awarded projects will be required to provide Proof of Insurance Coverage, Workman s Compensation Coverage and a 100% Performance Bond prior to contract execution. Each bidder is required to follow the Ohio Department of Transportation s (ODOT) encouraging diversity, growth and equity (EDGE) requirements as pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 122.921. For this specific project there is a 5 percent EDGE goal requirement. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein, each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than 180 days after the signing of the Notice to Proceed . Bid shall be sealed and marked as Bid for: S.H. Bell Co. - Barge Dock Renovation , and mailed or delivered to: Columbiana County Port Authority, 7860 Lincole Place, Lisbon, Ohio 44432. All Contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Columbiana County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division (614-744-2239). No bidder may withdraw his bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Columbiana County Port Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
