No bids maybe withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days except as specifically detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Project consists of +/- 875 linear feet of 6 PVC water main for the Water System Improvements for Oklahoma Street, +/- 650 linear feet of 8" PVC Sewer Main Extension for Flowers Drive and all associated appurtenance needed for a complete project. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 P.M, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below Bidding Documents also may be examined at Blakely City Hall; during the City's regular business hours The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids will not be accepted from prospective bidders not on record with the Issuing Office as having purchased and received a complete set of Bidding Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. If awarded the Contract the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Bonds must be provided by sureties appearing on the U.S. Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing and be licensed in the State of Georgia. All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be approved prior to the date of the bid opening. Acquisition of property for easements, right of way, etc. is not expected to be required for this project
