Site work for a water / sewer project in Westminster, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of retrofitting the existing stormwater management facility for Sun Valley II to a surface sand filter. It is located in Westminster, Maryland (see ADC Map of Carroll County, Map 4454, Block H 6). The project includes the removal ofthe existing underdrain, installing a new undrain, and rerouting the outflow to discharge into the stream channel as indicated in the Sun Valley II Stormwater Management Facility Retrofit Plans, and in the provisions in this document. Primary Aspects ofthe Project include: o Install and remove erosion and sediment control o Clear, grub and remove debris from the limits of disturbance o All trees and limbs greater than 2 inches in diameter originating on Parcel 'C' are to be cut to approximately 16-inch lengths and stacked on the site - other salvaged materials and salvaged materials originating off Parcel 'C' shall become the property ofthe Contractor, and disposal of any such materials will be the responsibility ofthe contractor. o Grade Site o Remove Existing Underdrain - The section ofthe outflow pipe to remain in the dam will be filled with flowable fill o Construct Stilling Basins and Headwalls, including riprap pad extending to the stream channel o Construct Surface Sand Filter o Modify Weir Wall o Install Strom Drains o Permanently Stabilize Site
