Site work and paving for a civil project in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

The work will be performed as soon as possible. Exact beginning and ending dates for job are to be specified and approved by the Town, it is anticipated that the work once begun will proceed and take a maximum of one week, weather permitting. Prior to submitting a quote, the Contractor shall review the bid documents and conduct a site visit to become familiar with the site conditions affecting construction. 1. Maintain safety barriers in place to secure the work area on Village Street and the area below on the rail trail. 2. Arrange police details. 3. Provide personnel below the work area on the rail trail to coordinate and ensure the safe passage of pedestrian and bicycle traffic while the work is being performed. 4. Saw cut and remove the existing pavement in the areas described on the attached plan. The limits may be decreased as directed by the Engineer. 5. Jackhammer and remove the existing unsuitable cement concrete material to expose the existing reinforcing steel and existing sound concrete material. 6. Clean the remaining cement concrete surfaces and reinforcing steel using brooms and compressed air in preparation for placing new cement concrete. 7. Fabricate and secure formwork in place in preparation for placing new cement concrete. 8. Place and hand trowel finish the concrete slab to the existing cement concrete grades 9. Pave the work area to match existing grades. 10. Strip the formwork. 11. Secure the trench with appropriate barricades and road plates when unattended. 12. Clean up and restore the work area to the pre-construction condition. See the attachment A, B and C for more information.
