Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a 61,056-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Additions and alterations to the existing Falls Township Municipal Complex, housing the Township Administration, Public Works Department and Police. The completed building will be approximately 60,000 SF (1st floor 47,000 SF, 2nd floor 13,000 SF), with the additions being of steel frame construction. Major building assemblies include masonry cavity wall construction, aluminum framed curtain wall, EPDM roofing and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Site improvements, including drainage and utility work, paving, landscaping and fencing. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid amount in the form of a bid bond or certified check, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn except as permitted by the Pennsylvania Bid Withdrawal Act, 73 P.S. sect. 1601 et seq., unless otherwise provided in the Instructions to Bidders. In no event may a bid be withdrawn until at least sixty (60) days have elapsed following the date of the bid opening. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in the best interest of Falls Township. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Work by a Public Body under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. The contract is also subject to the Townships Responsible Contractor Ordinance, Chapter 146 of the Township Code of Ordinances. All prime contractors and subcontractors are required to demonstrate compliance with the Ordinance. Clarification Deadline: 4/26/2023 4:00 PM The anticipated total cost of the project is $25,000,000.
