The work to be performed consists of the installation of 2,100 L.F. of 8-inch diameter ductile iron waterline and associated appurtenances on Cornwall Road located in Patton Township, Centre County. Sets of documents may be obtained from the Engineer upon payment for each set of a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars and No Cents ($175.00). Express mail requests will require additional payment to cover such costs. Payment also accepted using VISA and MasterCard. Contract documents may also be obtained electronically at no charge. Bidding documents including plans, specifications and addenda, must be obtained directly from the Engineer to be considered. The successful bidder will be required to comply with Prevailing Minimum Wages in accordance with the PA Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check, or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the State College Borough Water Authority, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a "Performance Bond" and a "Payment Bond," each of said bonds to be in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the State College Borough Water Authority.
