Site work and paving for a road / highway in Northborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Contractors must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, Prequalification of Contractors by MassDOT. The Base Bid will consist of mill and 1-1/2-inch hot mix asphalt overlay of pavement with a leveling course, if necessary, on Thoreau Road (approx. 1,300 feet x 28 feet); reclamation and 4-inch hot mix asphalt pavement on Emerson Road (approx. 1,370 feet x 29 feet), Leland Drive (approx. 1,900 feet x 24 feet), Rodney Terrace (approx. 310 feet x 26 feet), and Wesson Terrace (approx. 850 feet x 24 feet); removal and disposal of existing curb, new hot mix asphalt curb, and resurfacing of existing sidewalk and construction of two (2) concrete pedestrian curb ramps with ADA detectable warning plates on Thoreau Road (approx. 1,270 feet x 5 feet); and removal and disposal of existing curb and sidewalk, and new hot mix asphalt curb and sidewalk on Emerson Road (approx. 1,260 feet x 5 feet). Work will consist of mill and overlay, reclamation with berm, sidewalk, drainage and utility structure adjustments, loam and seed, erosion control measures, safety controls and signing for construction operations and other incidental items included in the contract documents. The minimum combined MBE/WBE participation goal of 0% is applicable to this project.
