Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Salisbury, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
The 3D Arts Center is located in the M1 Building at 217 Milford Street. The existing M1 Building is approx. 11,713 GSF on concrete slab, with a 1440 SF South Lean-To, a 100 GSF North Lean-To as well as associated outdoor spaces. The M1 building is primarily of masonry (CMU) construction and steel bar joists. A new Soprema single ply membrane roof with insulation was installed in 2021, carrying a 25 year warranty. This project calls for the erection of a Lean-to located on the east end of the M1 Building to house Foundry equipment and operations. Some demolition work is required. In addition, a new overhead coiled door in the east end exterior wall shall be installed to replace the existing coiled door. Masonry/steel infill work is required for the new coiled door. Electrical work will originate at existing electrical panels. A new roof mounted exhaust fan and associated ductwork is required. See Drawings for other miscellaneous work that is required. All questions must be written and directed to the issuing Procurement office. Requests for clarification must submitted to the University no later than, 03/07/2023 at 3:00 p.m. in order for the University to be able to timely issue any amendment(s) that may be needed. Projected Schedule: NTP 04/05/2023, On-site begins 05/22/2023, Substantial Completion 08/18/2023, Final Completion/Acceptance 09/01/2023.
