Girard Township is requesting Statements of Interest from consulting firms for engineering services associated with the Francis Road Bridge Rehabilitation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, preliminary engineering, final design, bidding and construction contract administration, and construction inspection. The project location is on Francis Road over Little Elk Creek in Girard Township, Erie County. Statements of Interest will be evaluated on the basis of professionalism, success with working with municipal governments, and qualifications and experience in the design of local roads and bridges. The Statement of Interest must also contain the firm s capacity, or availability of technical staff, to accomplish the engineering work to rehabilitate the pre-stressed non-composite adjacent box beam bridge. Girard Township will procure a consultant by review of consultant qualifications using the modified selection procedure. A price proposal will not be requested until after a consultant has been selected. Girard Township encourages responses from small firms, minority firms and firms who have not previously performed work for Girard Township. Applicants and their proposed subconsultants shall be subject to the Commonwealth s Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
